A basses only album by our bass player Gerry
I have so enjoyed playing bass with Quintessential for the past 20 years. My band mates have often encouraged me to write more music and to express my musical voice on my bass. I am pleased to present my unique "basses only" album. I wanted to record using just my four basses - like four voices that make up a quartet. Rather than a thumping bass in your face project I was aiming for a jazzy, layered, sound with melodies, harmonies, chords, bass lines and solos that featured only bass guitars expressing a range of voicings and tones.
